The short version
Sigma Learn is a product of Sigma Hive Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”), which is responsible for the data described here.
- We store what is needed to run your account and remember your progress, and nothing for advertising.
- We do not show ads and we do not sell your data.
- When you use the AI features, what you ask is sent to Google Gemini to produce the answer.
- You can use Sigma Learn as a guest, without giving us your name or email.
What we store
Your account. The name you want shown, your username, your email address and your password. The password is stored only as a salted hash, so nobody — including us — can read it. Where they apply, also the school or other institution your account belongs to, and links between a guardian and a learner.
Your learning. The answers you give, the marks and Sigma points they earn, your streak, which lessons you have finished, the questions you star or flag, and your notebooks and lesson notes, including handwriting.
Your plan. Which plan you are on and, on Pro, how much of the week’s AI allowance has been used.
As a guest. Your browser makes up a random identifier, and progress is kept against that instead of an account. It is not linked to your name or email, because we do not have them.
What stays in your browser
Your sign-in session, your light or dark preference and a few display settings are kept in your browser’s local storage. If you add your own Gemini API key, it is kept there too: it is sent with your AI requests so they can run on your key, and it is not saved to your account. Sigma Learn does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
AI features
Ask AI and AI marking run on Google Gemini. When you use them, your question or answer, and the lesson or exam question it is about, are sent to Google to produce the reply. Do not put personal information you would not want processed this way into an AI question or an answer box.
Who else sees your data
- Service providers that host the application, its database and its files on our behalf.
- Google, for the AI features described above.
- Your school or guardian, only where an educator or guardian profile has been linked to your account.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Account and learning data are kept while the account exists. When an account is deleted, its learning data is deleted with it. A guest’s progress is kept until it is reset from Settings.
Your choices
- See and change your details in Settings → Profile and Account & security.
- Reset your learning data in Settings → Account & security. Your account stays.
- Remove your Gemini key in Settings → AI at any time.
- Delete your account, or ask for a copy of your data, by contacting us.
Younger learners
Sigma Learn is made for school-age learners. If you are below the age at which you can agree to your data being used in your country — 13 in many places, and up to 16 in some — please ask a parent or guardian to set up the account with you.

If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so on the site before the change takes effect. Questions about privacy go through the contact page.
